Youngster leaves for Yeovil for an undisclosed fee.
A bit of an unexpected departure then, young Tom Knowles leaving the Abbey for Yeovil. At times, he showed promise, yet always found himself down the pecking order when it came to getting game time.

Having been on loan at the likes of Royston and Kettering, Knowles never managed to make a case for being a permanent part of the first team setup, despite scoring a well taken free kick against Morecambe at the end of the 2018/19 season, Knowles soon found himself loaned out again, this time to Chelmsford. Appearances in the Trophy this season against Fulham U23’s, Burton & P*sh (where he scored to send the game to penalties) and in the FA Cup defeat to Shrewsbury were all we’ve seen of him so far, and with Hannant and Davies ahead of him in the picking order, it’s hard to see where he was going to get minutes at the Abbey.
Yeovil have paid a fee for Knowles, which is credit to him and our youth system, hopefully we can put that money towards making Boateng or El Mizouni permanent in January.
