Some good news this morning from the club as part-owner Mark Green has increased his investment in the club to the tune of £1 million, in exchange for a 10% increase in his share of ownership.

This leaves the club in the hands of majority owner Paul Barry, plus Mark Green and Adam Webb, both American businessmen. Paul is well known to U’s fans as a long-time fan himself, but little is known about Mark and Adam, although Paul stated that when they came on board we would expect to see an ongoing yearly contribution from them both and it’s good to see that Mark has invested a significant amount to help us strengthen in League One.
From the clubs statement this morning it looks as if this additional income is earmarked for improvements to the Abbey and training ground rather than being used on the playing budget, but any extra cash is welcome as the club looks to the future.
